My art tradition is Irish step dance, I chose it because I watched one of the dance show called "The Riverdance" by irish dance group when I was little and it left me with a deep impression. The dance was very inspiring and full of excitement, I even  beged my parents to let me go to the step dance classes after watching the show. But soon enough I learned it was not as easy as it seems.

 

Irish dance has very precise rules about what one may and may not do and when, but within these rules there is almost infinite room for variety and innovation. As I got more into the tradition, I learned how the dancers are discriminated and how they dress differently on stage. I learned there are three types of shoes and the roots of the step dance. All these things that I would never explore beofre but I'm glad I did now.
